Food Stash Foundation

The Challenge: Food Stash Foundation is a non-profit driven by the enormous environmental impact of food waste and the contradictory yet dramatic gaps in food insecurity. After securing a new facility to meet greater demand, Food Stash needed to establish new partnerships to match new funding, supply, and distribution requirements.

Our Tools

After interviewing the Executive Director and Director of Development, Victoria recognized the multi-layered needs of the Food Stash Foundation at this moment in time: the importance of building awareness among potential beneficiaries and funders; the need to recognize and amplify their partnerships in a public space; and the opportunity to create new partnerships.

Victoria drafted an OpEd that met these needs but brought awareness to the broader issues underlying food security in BC and opened the door to new partnerships and funding. It was targeted for The Province (the targeted publication based on the geography and demographics) within hours of submission and published a few days later.

The Impact

“Victoria’s seamless process, combined with her writing skills and advice, ensured we turned this challenge into an opportunity to profile the great work of Food Stash Foundation publicly and open us up to new opportunities. We were able to recognize the organizations generously contributing to our work and underline the central force of partnerships in tackling food insecurity in our neighbourhoods. We look forward to the next opportunity to collaborate with Victoria”
